NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) – An outage has affected telephone and Internet service for AT&T customers in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky, including EMS lines in the area.
AT&T confirmed that the drop is related to this morning’s explosion in downtown Nashville. NewsChannel 5 is receiving reports that coverage from AT&T and DirecTV is also being affected.
Several local law enforcement agencies reported interruptions and listed alternative numbers for residents to call in an emergency.

Telephone lines for Metro’s WeGo Public Transit service were also affected.
UPDATE: Due to phone interruptions caused by this morning’s explosion, WeGo phone lines are temporarily out of service. We are working with the authorities to get them back online as soon as possible.
