There was a big $ 410 million winner on April 9, 2020 for a ticket sold in Arizona. That was the top prize in calendar year 2020.
Friday’s jackpot is the second biggest grand prize since the game hit $ 1.5 billion in October 2018.
The last big winner of the grand prize was a ticket sold in Wisconsin on 9/15/20 for a $ 119 million prize. It was only the fifth and final Mega Millions jackpot won in the calendar year 2020.
