7th season of ‘Flash’ postponed by the 2-hour debut event of ‘Superman & Lois’

7th season The Flash was told to slow down, his originally scheduled comeback now hindered by a gigantic “debut event” for the CW freshman series Superman and Lois.

The programming change was first (and almost subliminally) revealed through a “bug” on the screen that appeared during Bat WomanThe second season was released on Sunday night, although no official details were released quickly.

The Flash was originally scheduled to return with Season 7 on Tuesday, February 23 at 8 / 7c, leading to the premiere of the series Superman and Lois (starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch).

Rather than, Superman and Lois will fly alone that night with a “two-hour premiere event” that combines a 90-minute episode of newcomer Arrowverse with a special titled “Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope”. The new special will feature sneak peeks and interviews with the cast of the new series, as well as special guests discussing the legacy of Man of Steel.

The Flash is now confirmed to launch the 7th season next Tuesday, March 2nd. As well reported, the new season will open with some version of the remaining three episodes from season 6, which close the arc of Eva McCulloch Mirrorverse, but have been postponed by the pandemic related shutdown in production.
