We are in the middle of this. Winter, of course. And, to top it off, some blockages across the province were lifted just in time for the snowfall record to prevent people from leaving their homes.
In addition to the treacherous ice and salt that cover the city’s sidewalks and growing suburban areas, the plows began to create the piles of damp and muddy mud that everyone hopes to pass (joke).
Does anyone really care if their shoes get dirty? No. It has been a very classic Canadian winter (despite the restrictions of COVID) and if you have been through one before, you know that you are expected to handle the terrain.
But do you know who probably cares about dirty shoes? You. That’s why a solid pair of weatherproof winter boots is a wardrobe necessity at this time of year, but not the type you might be thinking about.
Imagine your first pair of winter boots: they were probably thick rubber boots, lined with nylon, complete with a drawstring at the front to prevent snow from falling over the edge of its wool-lined interior.
Now imagine your next pair: stylish leather boots and fur that you can wear with almost anything in your closet. They are prepared for winter, but in disguise.
Does it look better than putting on your most awkward boots and dragging them through the snow like ankle weights to work?
… We think so too. Fortunately, seasonal sales are underway and you can get trendy styles at rock bottom prices.
You no longer need to be ashamed of what is below your ankles. Seriously, winter boots can be cute – take a look at some of our favorite pairs below.
