6 people killed in apparent murder-suicide at Allen’s house, police said

This is breaking news and will be updated.

Six people were found dead in an Allen home on Monday in what the police said was an apparent murder-suicide.

The officers responded around 1 am to a phone call about a social security check on block 1500 on Pine Bluff Drive.

The call came from a family friend who said someone in the house was suicidal, police said.

When the police arrived, they found a family of six dead inside the house.

Police did not disclose the identities of the dead, but said they were two teenage brothers, a sister, their father and mother, and a grandmother. The youngest was 19, the police said.

Police said they believed the brothers were the suspects.

“Apparently, two brothers agreed to commit suicide and ended up taking the whole family with them,” said the sergeant. Jon Felty, police spokesman.

A social media account belonging to a 19-year-old who lived in the house contained a link to a long suicide note.

Police believe the incident happened sometime on Saturday. They did not say how the family had died.

The incident was contained to the home and there is no threat to the community, police said.
