55 Open queries from South Carolina Publix pharmacies for COVID-19 vaccinations

On Tuesday, March 16, at 7 am Eastern time, Publix will open its online reservation system for COVID-19 vaccination appointments at 55 locations in South Carolina. Appointments to receive second doses are unaffected by any change in participating locations.

Eligibility

According to state and federal requirements, the following groups are currently eligible to receive vaccines: all primary and secondary school teachers and staff and daycare centers; caregivers of clinically fragile children with a certificate signed by a health professional to confirm that a caregiver meets the criteria; frontline workers with increased occupational risk; health workers and community health workers with direct and routine contact with the patient; individuals aged 55 and over; individuals most at risk in environments where people live and work in close contact; individuals at increased risk for severe COVID – 19; residents and employees of long-term care facilities; and South Carolina state / local government employees and contractors who are essential to administering the vaccines and COVID-19 tests.

Commitments

Vaccines are only available by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy.

The system will open on Tuesday, March 16, at 7 am Eastern Time. Appointments are available from Thursday, March 18, to Wednesday, March 24, except Saturday and Sunday.

Locations

Publix pharmacies will administer the vaccine in the following counties while supplies last: Aiken, Anderson, Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown, Greenville, Greenwood, Horry, Lancaster, Lexington, Pickens, Richland, Spartanburg and York. Costs and insurance

Vaccines are administered to eligible individuals, only by appointment, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual.
