During his interview to discuss Doug Pederson’s dismissal, owner Jeffrey Lurie referred to both quarterbacks as active.
If Sirianni was hired to fix Carson Wentz, then Hurts could be the Eagles’ most valuable asset heading for a spring when multiple teams need a double threat quarterback.

Robert Saleh likes what he did in quarterback Sam Darnold, but if the Jets wanted to go in the other direction with general choice # 2, dealing with Darnold and then replacing him with Hurts, would allow New York to choose the best player available. Penei Sewell or DeVanta Smith would be an exciting way to start the Saleh era in New York City with its brand new quarterback.

DeSean Watson wants to leave and Jalen Hurts would certainly be open to returning home. Texans need choices and a versatile athlete as a defender. Hurts could handle the attention that comes with replacing Watson, while some of the choices accumulated in a deal for the franchise’s quarterback could be used as compensation to acquire the Eagles’ runoff choice.

Joe Brady seems determined to remain in his position as offensive coordinator and if the Panthers decide to leave Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina could call a quarterback in 8th place overall, or they could take the best weapon available on the board thanks to a trade for Hurts. Hurts brings more athletics to the position and would benefit greatly from having a healthy Christian McCaffrey as a running mate.

The Patriots need a franchise defender and with New England set to reach 15th overall, Bill Belichick could negotiate with Hurts and match him with Josh McDaniels. New England has room to add weapons, while Hurts and Belichick can bond with Alabama coach Nick Saban.
