It is not Halo 6, Although. Developer 343 Industries abandoned the numbering convention (due to Microsoft’s wishes) for the latest entry. It’s still the continuation of the Master Chief’s labyrinthine story and sequel to the (admittedly bizarre) events of Halo 5. This “entirely new chapter”, according to Xbox general manager Aaron Greenberg, will follow John-117 and his compatriots, resuming some time later Halo 5.
Halo Infinite was originally scheduled to debut this year, but has been delayed due to the development difficulties caused by the pandemic. When he finally arrives, he is set to offer a new explosive campaign that follows the banned mercenary group, and will bring back the areola weapons, vehicles and attitude we’ve been waiting for over the years, including a possible Battle Royale mode and multiple multiplayer options.
It’s time to get back to the world we’ve been in love with for so many years, and the fact that it’s an Xbox X / S Series title makes its resurgence even more appropriate.
The medium
Bloober Team is known for its visceral psychological horror games, from Layers of fear for Observer. Your last project is The medium, which is scheduled for a debut in 2021. It is a total departure from maddened painters and future dystopian cyberpunk. This time, The medium takes players to the world of the medium Marianne, who can travel in and out of the spiritual realm, for a game that will exist on two different planes.
This third-person adventure will allow players to switch between realms in different segments throughout the game, with Marianne putting her spiritual powers to use, sealing hostile spirits and interacting with pots of psychic energy called spiritual wells. By the looks of things so far, it is set to present some truly disturbing visuals, accompanied by Akira Yamaoka’s legendary soundtrack and vocals by singer and voice actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
Medium has been under wraps for some time, although additional information is promised for 2021 before its release. If you follow in the footsteps of previous Bloober Team titles, players will have some seriously chilling narrative moments, as well as more than a few scary jumps.
Pragmata
Capcom is working hard on a new title called Pragmataand it looks fantastic. There is only one caveat: we know very, very little about what it is or what it is about. Supposedly, the launch is scheduled for 2022, but we are likely to start hearing more about the project when 2021 arrives, since all we have at the moment is a very mysterious cinematic trailer.
