It’s winter in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and players can not only continue to be creative, customizing their islands in a joyful and Christmas-filled place, but now snow can fall instead of rain, turning their island into a winter paradise too.
The game makes an effort to sell the idea of winter. Villagers will pull out winter clothes, winter variations of popular game songs will play, players can build snowmen and Christmas ornaments can be collected.
And, if you want to embarrass your residents with your superior fashion sense, Twinfinite team editor Rebecca Stone has compiled a list of the best Christmas sweaters you can download to get further in the spirit of Christmas.
Cthulhu saves christmas
I love the old school Christmas specials. Charlie Brown, Yogi Bear, Flintstones, Jetsons, Kiss Save Santa, I can’t get enough. Cthulhu Saves Christmas, launched at this time last year, and takes the same mood for which the series is known and puts that strange and dark energy into a special Christmas special.
In Cthulhu Save Christmas, you play as the Dark Lord on a mission to rescue Santa Claus from the Christmas Evil League, regain his powers and, hopefully, spread some Cthulhu-style Christmas joy. Which, of course, means driving people crazy and many tentacles.
The best part is that you don’t have to commit a lot of time and money to have the Cthulhu Saves Christmas experience. At the moment, it only costs $ 7.50 on Steam and should take about four to five hours to win.
Destination 2: dawn
Destiny 2’s annual holiday event, The Dawning, has arrived and the entire world of Destiny has taken on the spirit of bestowal.
Everyone is now trying to spread the joy of dawn by making cookies to distribute to NPCs across the Solar System. However, baking … doesn’t work in exactly the same way in Destiny. Cookies are made with the remnants of your fallen enemies, but, hey, it’s the thought that counts. Plus, who says it’s still not delicious?
Pragmatically, it is also a great time to gather important materials and obtain some rare and powerful weapons. Destiny 2 is free to play today, and Dawning is available to all players, so it’s definitely worth a look if you’re remotely interested in Destiny.
Overwatch: Winter Wonderland
Overwatch simply looks different for some reason when there is a holiday event going on. Although I tend to get away during the year, what often attracts me back are the special holiday events that are more focused on fun than frustration. Oh, and the skins are always great too.
This year’s Winter Wonderland features four fights: Elimination of Freezethaw, Mei’s snowball offensive, Snowball Deathmatch and Yeti Hunter. Each with its own rules and all are quite fun.
In addition, the weekly challenges that took place during the event will make it easier to get some of the new skins and other cosmetics.
My favorite? It must be that Frosty the Snowman skin for Roadhog above.

What a vacation list anything is complete without Die Hard; The Final Christmas movie. There is no other film that encapsulates Christmas and holidays in general than Die Hard.
Many Die Hard games have been released over the years. Personally, the original film is my favorite, so I would go with the first Die Hard game on the NES. Although not the best pure video game in the series, it surprisingly follows the film closely, even more than some of the later games.
Start your adventure as action hero John McClane and fight terrorists to reach the upper levels of the Nakatomi Tower and stop the evil Hans Gruber before he and his henchmen invade the Nakatomi vault and ruin everyone’s Christmas, especially the LAPD.
For an NES game, there is a fair amount of variation, including several endings, depending on how you do. And, of course, you have a final showdown with Hans Gruber. Yippy Ki Yay son of a bitch and happy holidays!
