447 more COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths reported in Utah on Friday

The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report on Friday shows an increase of 447 confirmed cases – bringing the state total to 380,787 – and 17 additional deaths.
So far, 2,320,731 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The 7-day continuous average for positive tests is 474 per day.
The 7-day continuous average for the percentage of positivity of “people over people” is 8.3%. The 7-day continuous average for the percentage positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.2%.
A total of 1,111,185 vaccines have already been administered in Utah.
176 people in Utah are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
2,058 people in Utah died of COVID-19. The 17 deaths announced on Friday are:

  • 10 men:
    • between 65-84, a resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, resident of Iron County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • over 85 years old, resident in Tooele County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • over 85 years old, resident in Cache County, resident in long-term care facility
    • between 15 and 24 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death (this person was over 18 years old)
    • between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
    • over 85 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care institution
    • between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 45-64, Davis County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
  • 7 women
    • between 65-84, a resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 25-44, Cache County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, a resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 45-64, resident of Uintah County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, a resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
    • between 65-84, a resident of Weber County, hospitalized at the time of death

Twelve of those deaths occurred before February 19, 2021, said Friday’s report.
