Authorities did not say what caused the accident.
Four people died in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Monday after a helicopter crash, according to the Virgin Islands Emergency Management Agency.
Calls to 911 about a helicopter crash at the western end of the St. Thomas area of Botany Bay arrived around 3:14 pm local time, according to officials.
The identities of the victims and the cause of the accident have not been released at this time.
The emergency management agency said it had recovered the four bodies of the deceased, but will not release their names until the closest relatives are notified.
The investigation of the cause of the accident is ongoing.
