Based on Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and directed by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins, The Underground Railroad follows Cora Randall, who escapes from a Georgian plantation in search of the supposed underground railway, only to discover that it is a real railroad full of engineers, drivers and a secret network of tracks and tunnels beneath the south. During her journey, Cora is chased by a bounty hunter who is determined to return her to the plantation from which she escaped.
