$ 33.2 million Powerball ticket sold at NJ convenience store

The jackpot winning ticket for Powerball’s $ 33.2 million draw on Saturday was sold at a convenience store in Morris County, New Jersey, Lottery officials said on Sunday.

The only lottery ticket in the country with five numbers plus Powerball was purchased at QuickChek on Ridgedale Avenue, in the Cedar Knolls neighborhood in Hanover.

The lucky ticket has a cash option of $ 24,831,027.77, according to Powerball officials.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 1, 2, 7, 52 and 61. The drawn Powerball was 4 with a Power Play of 3X.

It was the second consecutive week that a Powerball jackpot winning ticket was purchased in North Jersey. Someone who bought a ticket at a Clfton convenience store won the $ 23.3 million jackpot on January 23.

There were also four-second prize tickets corresponding to five numbers sold for Saturday’s draw, including a $ 1 million ticket to Pennsylvania and a $ 2 million ticket to Delaware.

Wednesday’s jackpot is reset to around $ 20 million, with a $ 15 million cash option.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $ 2 ticket has about 1 in 11,688,053 chances of hitting five numbers and winning at least $ 1 million, while the odds are from 913,129 to 1 to win the third prize of at least $ 50,000.

Powerball is played on Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington DC, the United States Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
