LSU coach Ed Orgeron knows a thing or two about recruiting, and he practically finished the job before National Hiring Day.
Tigers currently have 22 players who are hired or committed in the 2021 Class.
While LSU did a good job filling vacancies, there are still some areas where Tigers could afford to hire an extra player to bolster the squad next season.
Here’s a look at three things to keep an eye on:
1. Defense: the position of the linebacker and the secondary.
Losing linebacker Jabril Cox certainly leaves a defensive gap for Orgeron and company to fill. The Tigers hired the internal linebacker Nevonteque Strong and the external linebacker Zavier Carter.
As for the secondary, LSU is in the mix for Florida’s Dontae Balfour and signed cornerback Damarius McGhee.
Tigers could add someone else here.
