The New Orleans Saints enters this off-season with many changes taking place in the near future. Although the future is still in the air for quarterback Drew Brees, he is expected to announce his retirement at any time.
With the Brees era probably coming to an end, the Saints are at an interesting point with whoever takes on the defender next season and in the near future. In addition, the Saints are sitting with the league’s worst ceiling, almost $ 100 million over the projected ceiling.
The Saints also lost assistant coach Dan Campbell and defense coach Aaron Glenn to the Detroit Lions, as well as assistant general manager Terry Fontenot to the Atlanta Falcons.

With all that said, the team is probably entering a new life cycle as it seeks to really rebuild and reduce the squad to pieces below the limit. This off-season will bring many questions, the first of which will be the defender’s starting team next season? Who are the victims of the limit and who can the team really extend?
But with the team probably destroying the list, what big named players would be willing to stay when they could get more on the open market? Are there other quarterback options on the open market / draft, or do they stay with someone currently on the list? Has anyone else been hunted? What direction should the team take with a long-term view, knowing that it may not be in a competitive window for at least a year or two?
