Luka Doncic is an NBA superstar after just two seasons in the league, and this season he is a true MVP in front of the Dallas Mavericks. Doncic had an average of 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 8.8 assists and shots 46.3% from the ground, 31.6% in the three-point range, solidifying himself as one of the favorites to win the MVP of NBA 2020-21. It should come as no surprise to those who know Luka Doncic’s story to see him so successful in the NBA at such a young age.

The young Slovenian started playing professional basketball at age 16 and is now the face of the Dallas Mavericks and one of the faces of the NBA at age 21. With Kristaps Porzingis beside him on the court, the Mavericks have not just two young stars in the game, but two guys that Dallas can build in the foreseeable future.

However, Kristaps Porzingis will miss the start of the 2020-21 NBA season as he continues to recover from a meniscus injury sustained in the 2020 NBA Playoffs. With Luka being the only All-Star player in the Mavs squad to start the season, they could be a team that is in the market to make a move and bring another complementary player to their All-Stars.

Totally healthy, this team is more than capable of being one of the best teams in the Western Conference and if they were able to acquire another high level talent, the Dallas Mavericks could end up being a legitimate threat to dethrone the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference .

With the big contract of Tim Hardaway Jr. and after acquiring Josh Richardson in the off-season, the Dallas Mavericks is tight on the edge and would have to work some contracts to make a big exchange at some point this season.

However, if the Dallas Mavericks decides to enter the trade market and seek to bring in another talented player, here are three intriguing commercial targets that they must pursue.
