3 free agent WRs for LA Rams to unlock QB Stafford deep pass

LA Rams made a great effort to put one of the most coveted defenders in the commercial block in many years. Conservative estimates define the floor in seven teams. But few teams that failed to hit a quarterback run towards the microphone to claim they would move on with the starting quarterback. Aggressive estimates reach a dozen or more suitors. In either case, Detroit Lions held a major auction.

And the Rams made the highest bid.

This meant that the LA Rams had the right to claim a new veteran quarterback to execute the attack. But, like any new gift, Matthew Stafford is the ‘base model’. To unlock all of his bells and whistles, the Rams now need accessories for him. They need a deep threat receiver.

The chemistry, the harmony, the synchronicity that must exist between a quarterback and a fast WR is something that develops only after hundreds of repetitions and practice, practice, practice in the training field. It is usually not something that comes out of the box, like the standard option in a car that you drive from the showroom. It’s just an intangible thing that just takes time.

Just look at the chemistry between Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback Tom Brady and his trusted tight end Rob Gronkowski or Brady and wide receiver Antonio Brown. There are good reasons why Brady wanted to bring them to Tampa Bay – he had instant chemistry, harmony and synchronicity with the two. And see where it got them. . . they are linked to the Super Bowl.
