When the police arrived, they found Chutich, who was identified by the family as the victim, in the parking lot. She was pronounced dead on the spot by the medical staff.
According to the statement, Chutich was a student at Iowa State University.
The officers investigated the area and conducted follow-up interviews. The police say there appears to be no threat to the community and that the investigation will continue.
