The Super Bowl LV between the Chiefs and Buccaneers is scheduled for Sunday night, which means The Weeknd’s Pepsi Halftime Show is also fast approaching. This year’s game will be different from previous years, as the coronavirus pandemic caused the NFL to make adjustments to everything from media day to ticket distribution and everything in between.

Weeknd also made changes to the typical look of the halftime show, taking the performance of the field to the stands.

The Super Bowl LV takes place this Sunday, and you can watch it for free at CBS Sports App.

Weeknd met with the media before the Super Bowl LV to give a preview of what fans can expect on Sunday.

“Due to COVID and the safety of the players and workers, we built the stage inside the stadium and we are also using the pitch, but we wanted to do something that we have never done before,” he said. “So, we built the stage at the stadium, but I won’t say anything else, because you will have to watch it on Sunday.”

He didn’t reveal much, but he gave fans enough to be intrigued and guess what a show would be like at halftime.

Fans can probably expect even more surprises when the day really comes.

Weeknd was asked whether he would incorporate part of the story he created last year. He said it would definitely stay linear, but it would keep him PG.

He added that he doesn’t “like to feed the audience with a spoon”, so he hopes they will be able to understand his plot.

The Weeknd talked about her favorite Super Bowl performance, saying she loved Prince, Michael Jackson and Beyoncé, but her favorite of all time is Diana Ross.
