The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX boasts 702 hp from the factory and 650 lb-ft of torque, but this is measured on the crank, not the wheels. Hennessey Performance Engineering tried to measure how much power the TRX produces on the wheels by attaching one to a dynamometer, but only ran numbers for the rear wheels.
The dynamometer test showed 538 hp and 570 pound-feet of torque on the rear wheels. This represents about 17% of transmission loss, which is not uncommon for a pickup. Hennessey previously recorded 20% transmission loss on the rear wheels when he tested a 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor.
The TRX has full-time four-wheel drive, so you might be wondering how Hennessey achieved dynamic results for the rear wheels only. The company’s founder, John Hennessey, said Engine Authority that all-wheel drive was temporarily disabled when disconnecting the front drive axle.

2021 Hennessey Mammoth 1000 1500 TRX
Although the TRX was designed for off-road, the amount of power produced by its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V-8 makes this truck very fast on asphalt. Ram says he will do 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
Inevitably, this was not enough for Hennessey. The company has developed more powerful versions of all vehicles powered by Hellcat and is doing the same with the TRX. Nicknamed Mammoth 1000, Hennessey says his version of the TRX will have 1,000 hp, will do 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and will travel the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds.
To achieve these numbers, Hennessey plans to equip the Mammoth 1000 with an updated supercharger, pulley and air intake, stainless steel manifolds, high flow exhaust piping (maintaining the catalytic converter) and new engine mapping. The price of the complete truck is $ 135,350, and Hennessey plans to build just 200 this year.
