Another great name for the pass rusher is off the board. Former Pittsburgh Steelers player Bud Dupree is going to Tennessee to play for the Titans, according to reports by Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora confirmed the change on Day 1 of legal tampering to the free NFL agency.

Dupree reportedly agreed to a $ 82.5 million five-year deal.

Dupree is recovering from an ACL injury he suffered last season, and the NFL teams were not concerned about the health of the pass rusher, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Rapoport also reported that Dupree’s recovery was going “very well” after suffering the injury near the end of the Steelers’ week 12 victory over the Ravens.

Dupree was the 23rd ranked player in the CBS Sports NFL Insider Pete Prisco free agent power ranking.

The Steelers decided to choose Dupree’s fifth year option before the 2019 season and were rewarded with the best Dupree season to date. Dupree’s success in the 2019 season resulted in the Steelers franchise scoring him in 2020. In the last 27 games, Dupree recorded 19.5 sacks, 24 loss tackles, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. During his first six seasons, Dupree recorded 39.5 sacks, 54 loss tackles, eight forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Dupree will now join a squad of Titans looking to take the next step in AFC.
