The highly unique regular season has officially ended, meaning that more than half of the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft has been set.
The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Week 17 having already won first choice, while the New York Jets entered the final week of the regular season with the second overall selection closed.
Clemson’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to be the first player selected in this year’s draft. Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields, Oregon offensive striker Penei Sewell and Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons are among some of the other big names to be conquered soon.
With the NFL expanding its post-season field this year, there could also be more movement in the appearance of the rest of the first round.
The six teams eliminated in the wildcard round choose from slots 19-24 in reverse order of their final regular season records and the four teams who lose in the divisional round choose from slots 25-28 in reverse order of their regular season final records. Losers from the AFC and NFC Championship Games will choose 29th and 30th place in reverse order of their final regular season record.
The Super Bowl loser has the 31st choice. The winner of the biggest game in the sport has the 32nd and last slot of each round.
