INDIANAPOLIS – One month from the day until the selection Monday, the NCAA Division I women’s basketball committee will reveal its first top-16 of the season on Monday, February 15, at the Stanford-Oregon game break, which starts at 9:00 pm Eastern Time on ESPN.
The revelation will be the first of two provided this season by the committee, which will also provide regional placement for all 16 identified teams. The second top 16 reveal is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 1, at the interval of the Baylor-Texas game on ESPN2. The two revelations will have nothing to do with the 2021 NCAA Division I women’s basketball championship bracket, which will be announced on selection Monday, March 15 at 7:00 pm ET.
It was recently announced that San Antonio and the surrounding region will host the 2021 championship, with 64 teams competing from March 21 to April 4 to win the right to hoist the national championship trophy at the Alamodome.
For the 19th consecutive year, an ESPN channel will broadcast all 63 games in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship. Although specific game times and channels will be announced later for all games in the preliminary round, viewers can expect games to be played in the traditional championship broadcast windows, with all games from all rounds broadcast nationally on ESPN networks . This year will mark the 26th consecutive year (since 1996) in which ESPN served as the championship’s exclusive television broadcaster. All games will be available online through the ESPN app.
