Next week, we’re going to see a GRAMMYs Awards show like never before.
The 2021 GRAMMY Awards show, officially known as the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, takes place Sunday, March 14, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Before the biggest night of music, GRAMMY.com has prepared a useful guide on the different ways to watch the program and experience the 2021 season of GRAMMY in its entirety. Before the biggest night of music, the Recording Academy is offering a multitude of wonderful events as part of GRAMMY Week 2021. The week starts Monday, March 8 with GRAMMY In The Schools Fest, a four-day virtual event that celebrates music and music education and features presentations by students and professionals. (This event is free for those who register in advance here.) On the same day, Women in the mix, another virtual event, will recognize the contributions of women in music and will amplify women’s voices. (This event will take place publicly on GRAMMY.com.)
On Wednesday, March 10, Celebration of the Inaugural Week of the Black Music Collective GRAMMY will feature a number of renowned black music creators and professionals known for amplifying black voices in music and beyond. (This event can be viewed at GRAMMY.com.)
On Thursday, March 11, Join GRAMMY U Masterclass with Tayla Parx event as she discusses her craft of composition and real life experience as a multifaceted artist. (This event can be viewed on the Recording Academy’s Facebook channel.) That same day, the Commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the producers and engineers wing, a one-hour private program, will celebrate the 20-year milestone of the Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing.
On Friday, March 12, MusiCares‘ Music on a mission The virtual fundraiser will honor the resilience of the music community, which was deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. That day, the 23rd Annual Entertainment Law Initiative, a private event, will honor the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA).

Before GRAMMYs goes live, make sure to go backstage with GRAMMY Live. First, the 63rd GRAMMY Awards Opening Ceremony will take place Sunday, March 14, at the noon PT / 3pm ET, and will be broadcast live internationally via GRAMMY.com. Presented by the current GRAMMY nominee, Jhené Aiko, the Premiere Ceremony will feature presentations by the current GRAMMY nominees, including Burna Boy, Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Sciences, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Igor Levit, Lido Pimienta, Poppy, Rufus Wainwright and many others. The Premiere Ceremony is also where we will award more than 70 GRAMMYs in music genres ranging from classical and jazz to R&B, global music and more.

(Practically) Walk down the red carpet
Starting at 3:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET, be sure to tune in to our GRAMMY Live Pre-Show and Red Carpet coverage, presented by IBM and Facebook. There, you can catch a glimpse of the brightest music stars in real time as we take you backstage with behind the scenes access, GRAMMY history retrospectives, pre-show interviews, highlights from the GRAMMY Debut Ceremony and Debates with Watson.

Presented by The Daily Show presenter Trevor Noah, the 63rd GRAMMY Awards will present all the music and magic that the public expects, all while maintaining the safety precautions of COVID-19. Current nominees include today’s top artists, including Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Haim, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and many others.
