Rejoice, fans of pony cars. The first cars in a limited lot of 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 models are now on their way to dealerships, the automaker said on Thursday. The Blue Oval said the first cars left the assembly plant and are on their way to dealers as you read this, in addition to detailing some other changes to the 2021 Mustang.
We already know the whole story around the Mustang Mach 1 for bridge construction, but those who buy other ponies will find some changes. For example, the most recent Shelby GT500 Mustang now features an optional carbon fiber handling package. As the name implies, it adds, well, carbon fiber and more handling equipment. Specifically, the package includes 20-inch carbon fiber wheels, adjustable brackets, Gurney flap and more.

I’m really enjoying this yellow color.

For both the Mustang and standard Shelby, buyers can also choose to coat their cars with new Grabber Yellow, Antimatter Blue and Carbonized Gray Metallic paints. The Mustang Mach 1, in turn, presents its exclusive Fighter Jet Gray hue. These aren’t major changes, for sure, but it’s always fun to see Ford update its color palette to keep the Mustang up to date. Yellow Grabber, in particular, looks pretty good.
The official construction and pricing tool is available for all Mustang models starting this morning, so you can click and build your dream 2021 Mustang if you wish.
