2020-21 college basketball schedule: Kentucky vs. South Carolina postponed as Gamecocks problems continue

The SEC’s opening for South Carolina and Kentucky, originally scheduled for December 29 at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, has been postponed. The schools announced the decision on Wednesday as a result of a combination of positive COVID-19 tests, contact tracking and subsequent quarantine of individuals within the Gamecocks program. A date has not yet been set for making the game.

It is the fifth game that South Carolina has been forced to postpone or cancel due to problems with the COVID-19 that have only emerged three games in the season. He last played on December 5, dropping 77-67 to Houston to drop to 1-2 in the season.
