“This inauguration marks a new chapter for the American people – a chapter of healing, of unification, of unity, of a united America,” said Tony Allen, CEO of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. “It is time to turn the page in this age of division. The inaugural activities will reflect our shared values and serve as a reminder that we are stronger together than apart, just as our motto ‘e pluribus unum’ reminds us – of many, one ”.

Banner sponsors will receive special digital materials, including an exclusive sponsorship certificate, the Presidential Inauguration Committee said.
The committee is planning a largely virtual grand opening this year due to continuing public health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic and what police officials said was an increased risk of political violence ahead of the event. There is an enhanced security presence throughout the city following the deadly Capitol riot earlier this month.
In September, 20,000 American flags were placed on the National Mall in memory of, at the time, more than 200,000 Americans who died from the pandemic.
