TWO men died and a 17-year-old girl is hospitalized after a shootout in Arouca on Saturday morning.
Police reported around 2:40 am that they responded to a shootout on Sparrow Drive, Bon Air Gardens, in Arouca.
They found Chris “Bellies” Williams and Shawn Anthony Williams dead and the injured teenager inside a home. The girl was wounded by a firearm in her right ankle and was taken to Arima Hospital.
Chris was found on the bedroom floor wearing a black vest and white boxer. He had gunshot wounds to his torso and stomach.
Shawn was found on top of a basket of clothes in a room wearing a black shirt and boxers. He had gunshot wounds to his neck and leg.
Police said they were told that the teenager and her mother were sleeping, but woke up to loud noises.
The mother’s boyfriend (Chris) was preparing dog food in the kitchen, but then he started shouting: “Armed men! Armed men! “
A masked sniper dressed in black entered the house and shot Chris several times, while another sniper shot Shawn in the room.
The first sniper went out and the second shot found Chris and shot him again before fleeing.
