1984 Wonder Woman is now rotten on Rotten Tomatoes

The Tomatometer score for Wonder Woman in 1984 has steadily declined and has now reached the point where the film is considered Rotten.

After a mixed critical response at its launch, Wonder Woman 1984 now it has declined to a “rotten” score on the most popular aggregated movie review site on the internet.

On Friday, January 8, the Tomatometer score for the film shown on Rotten Tomatoes was 59%, a big drop from the 90% it won from the first critics before its theater debut. The metric used by the website categorizes a film as Podre if less than 60% of its critical reviews are positive.

Shortly after being released, Wonder Woman 1984 saw his score start to drop, a trend that continued. With a current total of 378 ratings, the film now has an average rating of 6.10 out of 10, with 224 critics rating the film Fresco and 154 considering it Rotten.

The sequel of 2017 Wonder Woman had a difficult path to launch, being delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic and finally making the controversial move to premiere simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming service HBO Max on December 25. Although it had a hugely successful opening weekend, its second weekend saw a sharp drop in domestic box office.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film is already in theaters and on HBO Max.
