Nearly 58 million Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 – and nearly 102 million have already received at least one injection, according to data released on Friday.
In total, 17 percent of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated, while 30 percent received at least one injection, according to the data tracker at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Most people who are fully vaccinated – about 53 percent – are 65 or older, while 22 percent of other adults are fully vaccinated, according to the data.
In contrast, 32.9 million people or 9.9% of the population were fully vaccinated by March 10. And 62.4 million people, or 18.8%, received at least one dose.
Overall, 57.9 million people in the U.S. have been fully vaccinated, while 101.8 million people received at least one dose by Friday, officials said.
The states with the lowest vaccination rates include Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.
There are three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States – an injection of two doses from Pfizer, another injection of two doses from Moderna and a single dose injection from Johnson & Johnson.
