Cut the rope

Cut the rope (and its sequels Cut the rope 2, Cut the Rope: Time Travel, and Cut the Rope: Magic) are charming physics-based puzzle games that allow you to give candy to a cute dinosaur by manipulating Incredible machinelike contraptions. The puzzles are short, but getting three stars on each level adds a nice extra challenge.

Overcoming this with Bennett Foddy

Overcoming this with Bennett Foddy it is a tough game like nails on a man in a cauldron climbing a series of tall objects with just a big hammer. Although the game is not easy, repeatedly failing to try to climb higher and higher seems to be only part of the experience of playing it. I can imagine that any frustration would be worth it when you finally came to an end.

Limbo

Limbo is a slow and scary platform game that will only take a few hours to play. If you’ve never played before, find a cozy spot on the sofa in front of the fireplace, grab some headphones and get lost in your world. Honestly, I wouldn’t exactly describe Limbo so fun, but it’s a unique experience that is worth your time.

Monument Valley

Ustwo’s perspective twisting puzzles, Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2, are engaging and relaxing at the same time, and both games are absolutely beautiful. The levels are beautifully designed, and you usually only need a few minutes to pass a level, so you may be able to sneak into a puzzle or two between bites of leftovers from vacation.

Journey of the Old

Journey of the Old it’s a beautiful game about, well, an old man’s journey. But it is not just a journey through the physical environment – the old man also reflects on his memories during the game. The story shouldn’t take more than a few hours to tell, so if you’re looking for a game that can play at once, Journey of the Old it can fit the bill.

Inside Prune, you prune trees with the touch of a finger so that they can create branches that reach the sun. This simple concept is supported by a beautiful and minimalist art style and exuberant and calming music, making it an almost meditative experience. If you need something to calm your nerves during the stressful holiday season, consider sitting on the couch with Prune and a good pair of headphones.

Reigns

All three Reigns games – Reigns, Reigns: Your Majestyand Reigns: Game of Thrones – are available on the Google Play Pass, and each offers new opportunities to rule your kingdom with an iron finger (if you choose). Although I hope you Reigns: Game of Thrones races are more satisfying than War of Thrones‘final season.

Star Wars: KOTOR

The Mandalorianthe second season may be over, but if you’re still looking for Star Wars fix, you may want to consider sinking hours into Star Wars: KOTOR, which remains one of the best Star Wars games. Will you be a hero and become a Jedi or will you go to the dark side and embrace your inner Sith? The strength is still strong with this beloved RPG.

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley it is guaranteed to be an incredibly addictive way to get through the high tide of the holiday season. I wasted hours for this game playing just another day over and over again while I take care of my crops, visit my farm animals and make friends with every person in town I can.

Terraria, the successful side scrolling action-adventure sandbox game, was first released for PCs in 2011, and is still being updated. The touchscreen controls in the Android version can be a bit clunky, but don’t let them stop you from the potential hours of searching for dungeons that await you in Terraria.
