Administrators of the popular OfflineTV Rust server banned Twitch streamer Ser Winter after he ambushed and killed Tyler ‘Trainwrecks’ Niknam.
While Rust content on Twitch has been taken over by already popular streamers like xQc and shroud, Ser Winter is a longtime dedicated Rust content creator with 386 hours of in-game streaming. He has more than 64,000 followers and was a feature of the new Rust OfflineTV server, which sought to combine Rust’s dedicated streamers with more popular figures.
However, this collision of the old with the new has not yet been so smooth. With the server being dedicated to the role playing game, Ser Winter was criticized for ambushing and killing Trainwrecks, causing outrage from both Train and other streamers, including xQc and nmp on social media.
Many of the criticisms focused on Ser Winter using his advanced experience with Rust to exploit other members of the server and prevent them from having fun. He initially defended himself against the ‘persecution of influence’ charges, but his position on the server has since been revoked.
Ser Winter has been banned from the Rust server
Ser Winter announced that he had been “humbly banned” by the moderators of the OfflineTV server and accepted the decision.
He said: “Guys, Rust OTV servers are great for our community right now, and I had a lot of fun with them, but it’s the end of an era. I was humbly banned, which is completely fair and correct. “
Guys, Rust OTV servers are great for our community now, and I had a lot of fun with them, but it’s the end of an era. I was humbly banned, which is completely fair and correct. I said I wouldn’t be back after today. Enjoy the reward, Tank Girl 🙂

The reaction to the ban was not particularly sympathetic. “100% deserved”, while another said, “nothing of value has been lost”.
Ser Winter then accused a ‘massive streamer’ of abusing Twitter’s blocking function to pursue his responses. “This is awful,” he said. “These guys need to relax. I’ve been really nice about everything, and they’re here acting like I kicked their dog. “
The server administrator, Abe, is clearly not happy with the situation, as he later tweeted a lonely and angry face.

Ser Winter is not the only streamer to have generated controversy for his actions on the server. Zuckles was also accused of metagaming against xQc, which led some fans to ask for a ban, but no action has yet been taken.
One thing is certain: anyone who thought that the introduction of a new server would end the controversies at Rust Twitch, will be very mistaken.
