Harry experienced fun first
The interview started on a double-decker tour bus, while Prince Harry and James Corden drove around Los Angeles enjoying the view. The Duke of Sussex admitted it was a new experience for him. “This is the first time that I am on an open bus. I am not allowed to do that,” he explained. “When I was in London, I always saw them sailing, [with] tourists … when you live in an area, you will never really stroll. I always wanted to go for a walk. “Harry, who lives about 90 minutes north of the city in Montecito, California, also told James that, as his wife’s hometown was blocked by coronavirus for most of last year,” this is the first time that I had a chance to see LA ”

That’s how he drinks tea
After James Corden unrolled a tea service cart as the bus passed (“a little piece of home,” said James), the world learned how Prince Harry drinks his tea: with milk and sugar. “Put it all in,” he said to James as the night host served. “This is very good,” added Harry as he took a sip. He later joked that, since James has “Carpool Karaoke”, maybe he can make “English tea at 405”.

He has some ideas about “The Crown”, the Netflix show about his family
Prince Harry revealed that, unlike some of his relatives, he watched Netflix’s award-winning show about his family – “The Crown” – and seems to approve. When James asked how he felt about the series, Harry explained: “They don’t pretend to be news. It’s fictional. But it’s vaguely based on the truth. Of course it’s not strictly accurate, but vaguely … it gives you a rough idea of what it’s like. this lifestyle, what are the pressures of putting duty and service above the family and everything, what can come of it. “He continued:” I am much more comfortable with ‘The Crown’ than seeing the [media] stories written about my family or my wife or me because it is the difference between, this is obviously fiction, take it as you like, but this is being reported as fact because you are supposed to be news. I have a real problem with this. “
He has an actor in mind to play him in “The Crown”
Who does Prince Harry think he should play in The Crown as the next two seasons approach the present day? “Daniel Lewis?” he said hesitantly before James Corden helped him with a polite correction: “Damian Lewis! I think Damian Lewis like you and I do [your brother Prince] William, this is the cast. “Harry’s answer?” It’s not a good cast, but it’s the cast.
He is very familiar with a certain classic American TV series
Prince Harry knows the lyrics to Will Smith’s theme song, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. James Corden surprised him by making the bus go to what he called “the perfect home” for British royalty in southern California: the home featured on the hit sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. James joked, “If it’s good enough for Prince Fresco, it’s good enough for a real prince!” As they walked to the door, Harry half sang, half hit part of the theme song with James before meeting the current owners of the house. “Think about how cool it would be to say, ‘I’m a prince and I live at the Prince Fresco’s house,'” joked James. Harry even showed up to use the bathroom!
Duchess Meghan reveals her sweet nickname to her husband
Duchess Meghan has a lovely nickname for Prince Harry. She revealed when James Corden called her from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” to try to get her to agree that they needed this as their base in Los Angeles. “You would be the Cool Princess of Bel-Air,” said the dawn host to Meghan (who, by the way, Harry calls “Meg”). She was not accepting. “I think we’ve moved around enough,” she said. Then she asked her husband if he was having fun. “Haz, how’s your LA tour going?” she asked, which delighted James, who said to Harry, “I didn’t know we were calling you ‘Haz’ right now.” Harry replied, “No, well, you are not my wife.”
He has an affection for a particular game show
What is a normal night these days for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, who are expecting their second child? James Corden found out. “Depending on how the day has been, how busy it is, we make Archie’s tea,” Harry began, “tea” in this case not being the drink, but a common British term for dinner, “give him a bath, read him a book, put it on the floor, go down, Meg can prepare a meal, order a takeaway, go up, sit on the bed, turn on the TV, watch a little ‘Jeopardy!’, maybe a little Netflix. “
He likes to brag about his son like any parent
Prince Harry is like any proud father when it comes to his young son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. “My son is now just over a year and a half [old]. He’s hysterical. He has an incredible personality. He’s already putting together three, four words. He’s already singing, “Harry said to James Corden. Archie’s first word?” Crocodile – three syllables! “, The royal father boasted.
Archie loves the queen’s Christmas present and likes it every morning
“My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent Archie a waffle maker, so [for] For breakfast, Meg makes a beautiful organic mix at the waffle maker, “Harry said to James Corden, making crackling noises as he gestured to turn the appliance over.” He loves. And now I have waffles for breakfast – some yogurt, some jam on top, I don’t know if it’s the right thing to do, some berries, some honey, maybe some syrup. [Now] Archie wakes up in the morning and literally says ‘waffle?’ “The queen and her husband, Prince Philip, also know how to use Zoom, confirmed Harry when he revealed that the monarch and the Duke of Edinburgh used him to verify the great-grandchild situation.” Both my grandparents [use it]. We saw them a few times, they saw Archie running, “he said. Philip, however, can be a little abrupt with the technology.” My grandfather, instead of pressing ‘leave the meeting’, he simply says [doof!], “Harry added as he gestured to close a laptop.
He knew that Meghan was the woman for him right away
James Corden asked Prince Harry when he learned that Duchess Meghan, whom he started dating in the summer of 2016, was the chosen one. Harry said he knew very quickly. “On the second date, I was starting to think, ‘Wow, this is very special.’ … It was just the fact that we got along and were so comfortable in each other’s company, “explained Harry.” Dating me or any member of the royal family, I think, is kind of turned upside down . All the meetings turn into dinners or watching TV or talking at home and then, eventually, once you become a couple, then you venture out to dinner, to the cinema and everything, so everything was done backwards ahead with us. In fact, we spent an enormous amount of time just the two of us, instead of going to a friend’s house or having dinner where there were other distractions. It was an incredible thing. We went from 0 to 60, like, in the first two months. “
He says he never left the royal family and will always live a life of service
James Corden also got serious with Prince Harry, asking him what life is like now – or what he’s excited about that is how the coronavirus blocks end – a year after he and Duchess Meghan moved to the States United. “I have no idea. A slightly different version, but a continuation of what we were doing in the UK anyway. That’s what our life – my life will always be about public service, and Meghan signed it, and the two of us like it. do that, try to bring a little compassion and try to make people happy and try to change the world in any way we can. “James also asked why Harry felt it was necessary to step down as a royal member last year. Harry replied, “He was never leaving. He was stepping back instead of stepping back. It was a really tough environment, as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press can be like and it was destroying my mental health. I was like, this is toxic. So I did what any husband and father would do, [it was] like, I need to get my family out of here. But we never moved away. And as far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never give up – I will always be contributing. My life is public service. Wherever I am in the world, it will be the same. “
