$ 100 million South Carolina hospital receives key approval

The Conway Medical Center (SC) plan to build a $ 100 million hospital in South Carolina secured major approval this week, according to the local news station WBTW.

The Horry County Planning Commission voted 7-2 on January 7 to approve the proposed hospital in Carolina Forest, which lies between Conway and Myrtle Beach, SC. The project will go to the approval of the Horry County Council.

The proposed hospital would have 50 beds, including eight delivery and delivery rooms and six beds in the intensive care unit. In addition, the hospital would have three operating rooms and a six-bay infusion center.

When the new hospital is built, the main hospital campus of the Conway Medical Center will be reduced to 50 beds.
