10 Oregon zip codes with the newest coronavirus cases

Oregon ended January with a modest increase week after week in coronavirus cases, interrupting the sharp downward trajectory that offered signs of progress.

The state registered 4,786 confirmed or suspected coronavirus infections in the week ending Sunday, January 31, an increase of 16% over the previous week. The rise in cases exceeded a 2% gain in weekly tests.

Weekly cases fell about half compared to records recorded in December. But they remain much higher than at any point before November, with weekly cases almost double the peak in July.

Postcodes up and down the Interstate 5 corridor from Portland to Medford recorded the majority of new coronavirus cases last week.
