With New Horizons, Cross between animals went from a picturesque and charming life simulator to one of Nintendo’s most important franchises, there with Mario and Zelda. It’s still a game about carving a humble and cozy life on an island full of animals, but the addition of online games, more robust personalization tools and the fact that practically everyone was stuck at home this year, made it a important cultural touchstone. New Horizons it brought people together, caused family drama and played in communities ranging from Twitch streamers to streetwear enthusiasts. And it’s still going strong, with seasonal updates (free!) That add more depth and texture to your pleasant world.

Sometimes you just need something familiar and Clubhouse Games fills that niche perfectly. It’s an incredibly simple concept: a collection of over 50 physical games, from chess to darts and bowling, that you can play on your switch. The packaging was clearly designed with a lot of love and a level of care and attention to detail that makes it more than just a collection. Each game has a pleasant tactile feel, despite being a digital recreation. Clubhouse Games it’s full of familiar favorites, but it will probably also feature new games from around the world. It is the perfect thing to learn and play among other more complex experiences.

The name Coffee Talk I couldn’t be more fit: this is a game of conversation and coffee. You take on the role of a barista at a night cafe in an alternative version of Seattle, full of magical creatures, all bringing their own personal problems when they enter the store. Behind the counter, you will hear all the drama, occasionally agreeing with some advice, while making sure to serve the perfect latte or hot chocolate. Since his debut with Bastion, developer Supergiant Games launched a steady stream of cyberpunk hits Transistor for the magician Pyre. All of the studio’s work features incredible 2D visuals, deep and immersive worlds and a gameplay hook that makes it difficult to get away. Hades it seems the culmination of the team’s previous efforts. In your efforts to escape the underworld, you will die a lot, but each failure is a chance to explore new techniques and learn more about the incredible cast of characters. No Switch collection is complete without The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo’s first open-world game revolutionized the genre, with an experience that seems vast and deep, but leaves much of the exploration and discovery to players. In a world full of games with abundant signs and mini maps full of points of interest, Breath of the Wild allows you to move and learn at your own pace. It can be exciting and quiet, oppressive and subtle, all at the same time. I am still learning new things about the game more than three years after launch. Even better: now you can dig deeper into the story with the spinoff Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Murder by Numbers

Sometimes two things go so well together that you might wonder why nobody tried before. This is the case with Murder by Numbers. It is a silly but touching police drama that unfolds like a visual novel, full of adorable characters and surprising twists. But it’s also a puzzle game, where you complete sudoku challenges to find clues and solve crimes. It may not make much sense on the surface, but in practice these two halves fit together perfectly.
Pokémon shield and sword

There are few things that go together better than Pokémon Nintendo games and handhelds but Sword and Shield take it one step further Besides that great console experiences thanks to the hybrid nature of the Switch. The base game that was released last year remains one of the best RPG games available on the Switch, and has since become even bigger thanks to two significant expansions that add new stories to dissect, places to explore and – most importantly – monsters from pocket to collect.
Ring Fit Adventure
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/22169574/Switch_RingFitAdventure_screen_04.jpg?w=560&ssl=1)
Ring Fit Adventure it’s not just a great game, it’s also one of the few ways to get a decent workout, thanks to restrictions related to COVID. It also does something very rare: it makes training boredom fun. Ring adjustment it is structured like a fantasy RPG, where you travel to distant worlds fighting all sorts of magical creatures. But to attack, you will need to do yoga postures, squats and lots of boards. It’s exhaustive in the best possible way, and Nintendo has also released an update that turns Ring Fit in a rhythm game complete with classic Super Mario melodies.
Streets of Rage 4

Sometimes you just want to make things right. Streets of Rage 4 is here to oblige. The newest entry in the classic beat ’em up series does not change the formula: you still play as one of a handful of heroes, exploring levels of side scrolling while punching every street punk in sight. This time, however, the 2D look looks amazing and the gameplay has been simplified to make it look a little more modern. Surprisingly, the best part may just be the music, with an incredible soundtrack that includes new songs by the famous composer Yuzo Koshiro.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars

This collection brings together three of Mario’s most influential 3D adventures: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshineand Super Mario Galaxy. Not all elements will resist in 2020, so you may be frustrated with 64the relic of a camera, or the awkward controls of sunshinewater package from. But for the most part, every game in Super Mario 3D All-Stars remains fun, and playing with them today is a great way to see how Nintendo’s design philosophy has changed over the years. You will never look at Super Mario Odyssey the same way again.
