4AD celebrated its 40th anniversary last year and, in a slightly delayed celebration, the record company has just announced that next month it will be launching a compilation of covers called Bills, Aches and Blues. It has 18 artists who are currently on its roster, covering songs from the history of 4AD. Contributors include Breeders, Bradford Cox, Big Thief, Jenny Hval, Bing and Ruth, Future Islands and more. The entire compilation will be available on 4/2, but every week until then 4AD will share a segment of the songs that are in it.
