Stanley the Giraffe – the crown jewel of Malibu Wine Safaris – is now in his pen as Proof A … because the authorities claim that its owners are breaking the law by having him there.
ABC7 reports the CEO of MWS, Dakota Semler, and his popes, Ron, have been accused of connection to an investigation that allegedly revealed Stanley – and perhaps other wild animals roaming around – are flying under the radar without the necessary paperwork to justify their stay. The place is full of animals that you can see in a zoo.

They were informed by the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife that the Semlers never obtained the necessary licenses to house such exotic creatures – such as giraffes, zebras, etc. – and, as such, they were accused of falsifying records to obtain permits for that purpose.
As a result, Dakota – who owns / runs the place – has been accused of maintaining an animal facility or a wild animal without a license. Her father – who apparently owns Stanley – has been accused of providing false information about his request for permission to restrict Stanley species to the CDFW. Both pleaded not guilty.

As for Stanley, Fish and Wildlife say he was “seized in place” – which means they are not taking him to any station for booking or processing … you know, because he is about 5 meters tall. And as for the question of how the hell it didn’t get the police’s attention before – they’re claiming they trusted the Semlers’ word when they filled out their documents.
Here’s the kicker … ABC7 suggests that Malibu Wine Safaris may have recently been placed under a microscope because of angry potential customers – several of whom apparently complained about not being repaid during the pandemic … or not reimbursed quickly enough.
So, because they upset their loyal base – ABC7 says it started digging, which may have triggered the investigation and subsequent accusations. Oh The irony …
How can you or may not know … Stanley is a favorite fan of Saddlerock Ranch’s big attraction – tons of celebrities have come here over the years and posed for selfies with Stan, who is always happy to nibble on someone’s hair. preferably a little celery or lettuce.
Of course, he also appeared in ‘The Hangover Part III‘… riding passenger with Alan.
