President Donald Trump’s plane, a Boeing 757 decorated with 24-carat gold accessories and seat belt buckles, has not been used and needs repairs in a New York airfield, according to reports.
CNN posted photos of the plane at Stewart International Airport, an hour from New York City, on Saturday. It said the plane had not flown since President Joe Biden took office.
The news follows reports that Trump’s net worth has fallen by as much as $ 700 million since he was a candidate. The interior of the plane was redone to Trump’s specifications, adding golden details throughout, according to the video. Their headrests and pillows carried the Trump family crest.
Since 2010, the jet has been registered with DJT Operations I LLC, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registration data. It is a Boeing 757-200 of the 1991 series, with the call sign N757AF. It has a pair of Rolls-Royce RB211 turbofan engines, according to the FAA.
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen owned the jet.
