The Dallas Cowboys made a series of moves as a free agent, most of which went unnoticed. This trend continued on Friday, when the club completed another six lineup transactions.
According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys officially signed with CB CJ Goodwin, and signed again with WR Malik Turner. WR Chris Lacy, TE Cole Hikutini, C Marcus Henry and WR Jon’Vea Johnson were released.
Cowboys announced a series of changes on duty today. CB CJ Goodwin officially signed his two-year contract. WR Malik Turner, not presented as a restricted free agent, also signed.

It’s easy to see why the Cowboys brought Goodwin back, as he was the club’s best special team player in 2020 and John Fassel hopes to continue improving the special team unit. This deal was reported earlier in the week, but ended today, and Goodwin returns to Dallas for just $ 3.5 million over the next two seasons.
Turner was a restricted free agent, but he did not receive a proposal from the Cowboys, which meant that he would go to the open market. However, Turner returned to the list a few days later.
Hikutini was the strange man in a crowded TE room that features Dalton Schultz, Sean McKeon and a return from Blake Jarwin.
Henry spent most of his time on the Dallas training team a season ago, and he could find his way back if he was not claimed.
The Cowboys filled their wide receiver depth by signing Noah Brown, Cedrick Wilson and the aforementioned Turner again, making Lacy and Johnson more expendable.
