No. 23 in Alabama men’s tennis drops to No. 20 in South Carolina, 5-2

COLUMBIA, SC – Alabama’s men’s tennis team in 23rd place dropped to 20th place in South Carolina on Sunday afternoon by 5×2. Crimson Tide is now 8-4 in the season, while Gamecocks go 6-2.

Alabama won the doubles point with wins by Patrick Kaukovalta and Riccardo roberto about No. 44 ranked Daniel Rodrigues and Connor Thomson at No. 1 and Gabriel Diaz Freire and Zhe Zhou on No. 59 Raphael Lambling and Phillip Jordan in 2nd place. Roberto also won the 5th place in singles.

“A challenging and necessary journey to improve. We are competing well and creating opportunities. Now we must focus our attention on finishing. We will continue to tighten the screws in practice and prepare for another round of SEC tennis next weekend.”
