Deshaun Watson of Texas responds to lawsuit filed by Houston attorney

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is reportedly facing charges – but it is unclear as to what nature.

Tony Buzbee, founder of Houston-based law firm Buzbee, wrote on Instagram late on Tuesday that he had filed a lawsuit, saying “the case we just opened against Watson is not about money – it’s about dignity and disapproving behavior that should be stopped. “

Buzbee’s statement does not specify any allegations, but Buzbee told a Houston television station on Tuesday that Watson was receiving a massage from a woman when “Watson went too far”.

In the Instagram post, Buzbee wrote: “Many times women have tolerated behaviors that we all know that no one should tolerate. Should we make excuses for the famous? Or those in special positions, or defenders on a local professional football team? I think not!”

Watson responded via social media on Tuesday night, denying the charges.

“As a result of a social media post by a plantiff attorney who was looking for advertising, I recently learned of a lawsuit that apparently was brought against me.” he wrote on twitter. “I haven’t seen the complaint yet, but I know that: I’ve never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect.

“The plaintiff’s lawyer claims that it is not about money, but before filing the case he made an unfounded six-figure agreement request, which I quickly rejected. Unlike him, it’s not about money for me – it’s about clearing my name, and I’m looking forward to doing that. “
