In news that probably won’t shock you much, this year’s Oscar reflects a year spent mainly indoors and not in theaters. The Academy announced 2021 Oscar nominees, and Netflix is, once again, the vanguard, with 31 nominations.
All of these nominations do not guarantee victories, of course, but David Fincher Mank dominated the list. His 10 nominations include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Gary Oldman) and Best Supporting Actress (Amanda Seyfried).

It wasn’t just Netflix. Amazon got nominations for Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm, and Hulu United States x Billie Holiday was also recognized. Disney +, even the newest streaming service here, has been nominated for Soul, while Apple TV + quietly got two nominations.
The pandemic has given these services a great chance to receive awards. We’ll have to wait until April 25 to see who wins, but I doubt it will match last weekend’s Grammy show.

A few years ago, we wrote about Amazon’s attempt to work gameify on its deposits with some social mini-games. Yes, I winced too. The company is reportedly in the midst of a “major expansion” of the program, called FC Games. What initially started in a warehouse in 2017 has now been implemented in 20 states, according to The information.
Naturally, Amazon says employees said they like “having the option to participate in these desktop games.” The mini-games feature leaderboards and competitions against co-workers, both in a single deposit and against people at other facilities in the United States. “Games are not particularly good, although some people like them because they help to make the numbing boredom of a 10-hour shift better,” said an Amazon worker The information. In the middle of Tesla’s filing with the SEC, Elon Musk apparently claimed a new title, “Technoking of Tesla”, for some reason. The company’s CFO, Zach Kirkhorn, has a new position that came out War of Thrones: Master of Currency. There is probably also a reference to the recent Bitcoin machinations of Tesla and Musk himself. Last month, Tesla bought $ 1.5 billion in Bitcoin to help “diversify and maximize” its returns. The news further increased the price of Bitcoin, reaching an all-time high of more than $ 44,000.
