The South Carolina football team is preparing for the start of the spring camp, which begins later in the week. On Monday, video of defensive players Rodricus Fitten and Debo Williams appeared on Twitter. Each of them completed a heavy squat workout with strength coaches and teammates around them.

Fitten enters its third season with the program. He will work in the “EDGE” position after playing for BUCK / SAM under the previous coaching staff. He must challenge for a more consistent playing time. He has appeared in seven games in the past two seasons, making a couple of games. He is listed at 6-1 and 255 pounds. 2020 (Redshirt Freshman) – Played in six games with a couple of starts … played in just three of the first seven games, then received the defensive end kick in each of the last two disputes against Georgia and Kentucky … six of his eight tackles came against Georgia and the other two came to Kentucky … credited with eight tackles including half a sack … nominated for the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. 2019 (freshman) – He signed up in South Carolina in January and went through spring exercises … got into action in a game like a real freshman, entering the Charleston Southern contest … didn’t record any statistics … selected by the coaches as the team of defensive scouts Award winner … dressed in red … nominated for the SEC’s First Year Academic Honor Roll.
Williams is one of seven transferees to join the Gamecocks program through the NCAA transfer portal. A real freshman, he spent the fall semester with the Delaware football program, which postponed his season to spring. Williams is a popular name among newcomers. A linebacker, he is listed at 6-1 and 230 pounds.
