Almost 100,000 Israelis stopped receiving the second dose of the COVID vaccine

About 100,000 Israelis received only the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, but did not make it to the second dose, reported the N12, representing about 2% of the vaccinated population. The Ministry of Health reported that some of these people may have suffered the side effects of the first vaccine and were afraid to return to the second dose, according to the report. Likewise, the ministry informed the N12 and emphasized that this cohort of people does not necessarily test positive for coronavirus after receiving the first dose, but they are people who should receive the second dose, but never came for the consultation. The report comes at a time when the rate of vaccination against coronavirus in Israel remains one of the highest in the world, with more than 5.1 million citizens having already received the first dose of the vaccine, and among them, more than 4, 1 million having received the second dose. Unfortunately, the number of deaths from the virus in Israel is approaching 6,000, and currently stands at 5,988.
