BTS presented their Grammy-nominated hit “Dynamite” in an empty auditorium as part of the pre-award show for MusiCares Music on a Mission virtual livestream Friday.
Taking control of an empty Peace Hall at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea, K-pop stars – all dressed in suits, with BTS’s Jungkook sitting behind a drum set – made an optimistic version of the track that yielded the first place in the Grammy Nomination group, with “Dynamite” in the category of Best Pop / Group Performance.
Haim and HER also performed during the virtual live broadcast of MusiCares, which raised money for the needy in the music industry.
BTS is also scheduled to take the stage during the 2021 Grammy, his first independent performance during the awards; in 2020, the K-pop group helped Lil Nas X during “Old Town Road”.
