Father forced daughter to sign contract to never put on weight

A British fitness fanatic father forced his daughter to sign a lifetime contract promising to “never put on weight,” according to reports.

Rachid Khadla, 56, allegedly put Amira Khadla on a daily scale to record her weight, dictated the clothes she could wear, restricted who could visit and controlled what she watched on TV.

According to court documents, she also claimed that Rachid punched her in the chest and arms, threw a chair at her and beat her with a spoon regularly.

He now faces three counts of cruelty to children and two of aggression in Britain due to the treatment he gave her and the children Hicham and Karim.

Amira, now 23, was coerced in 2012 by her “controlling” father to write: “I, Amira Khadla, will never let myself get fat. I’m going to do a lot of exercises to make sure I never get fat, even before I die, “according to court records.

The court also heard how Rachid allegedly disciplined Hicham on October 16, 2019, after the boy was “too slow” to clean Amira’s room.

“He punched Hicham in the chest several times and then pushed him into his sister’s bed,” argued prosecutor Alex Krikler. “He then put both hands around his neck and strangled him for a long time – five to 10 seconds – before pulling him up, punching him in the chest and leaving.”

“Hicham tried to say ‘stop’ but was unable to speak,” continued Krikler. “He couldn’t breathe and although the marks left by the choke were relatively small, the incident was extremely frightening.”

The next day, according to the prosecutor, Harim told his mother that his father had “crossed the line”. The boy then went to school and told friends there too. They, in turn, told the teachers, who informed the police. Rachid was arrested that night.

But the October incident was not isolated, according to Harim, who described to authorities what it was like to grow up with his father.

“For minor offenses at home, he said he would regularly receive ‘the spoon’,” Krikler relayed to the jury. “His father made him reach out and beat his palms with a wooden spoon. He also described how his father pushed and punched him and occasionally threw things at him.”

“The abuse was not just physical,” continued Krikler. “The defendant would also threaten with extreme violence, which would ‘splash his brain on the ceiling and kill him’. His father would tell him that he was weak. “

The eldest son, Karim, now 26, also recalled his father’s “control, temperament and violence”, according to documents.

During the investigation, Rachid’s wife, Sarah, came to the defense of her children, reporting her husband’s mistreatment of them.

Krikler told the court: “She describes the control he exercised over the family and how he had an explosive temper and was angry for no reason. This anger she describes as being directed at children.”

Rachid said that all charges against him are false.

“He denied having threatened his children or hurt him physically, saying he sometimes screamed, but that was it,” explained Krikler. “He denied controlling his children.”
