OL Kyle wants to return to the NFL

On a busy day full of negotiations and news from franchise brands, we also have a player coming out of retirement. Offensive striker Kyle Long is planning to return to the NFL and signed with an agent, his brother Chris Long confirmed on twitter.

Long retired from the league in January 2020, then admitted in July that he lost the game, but ended up staying out of season. That season had apparently been enough for him to feel replenished. The 20th choice of the 2013 draft, Long spent each of his seven seasons in the NFL with the Bears. He had immediate success, starting at least 15 games in each of the first three seasons and making it to the Pro Bowl over the years.

His injuries soon caused problems, and in the next four seasons, he never appeared in more than ten games. At just 32 years old and able to play at a high level, Long should have no trouble finding a home, as long as he is healthy. Hopefully, the year off was enough to hit the body.

He played mostly on guard, but also started in 16 games and made it to the Pro Bowl as a right tackle in 2015.
