Ole Miss takes over South Carolina at SEC basketball tournament

The men’s basketball team Ole Miss will go to the SEC Tournament in Nashville as the sixth division. The rebels will face seed No. 11, South Carolina, on Thursday. Delivery is scheduled for 18h25 CT.

Ole Miss (15-10, 10-8 SEC) is coming into play after a week that saw two wins at home (Kentucky and Vanderbilt), with the team ending the regular season.

When the rebels and Gamecocks meet on Thursday night, it will be the 43rd meeting of all time between the two.

Ole Miss leads the 22-20 series over South Carolina, including an 81-74 victory in Columbia last February. During that game, veteran Devontae Shuler scored 31 points, the best of his career, on his return to his home state.

The two teams faced each other in the SEC Tournament nine times in total, with South Carolina holding a small 5-4 lead. The last of those meetings took place three years ago, when the Gamecocks escaped with an 85-84 victory in St. Louis (March 7, 2018).
