Rumors about the upcoming Galaxy Watch series are heating up, and it looks like we might get official answers sooner or later. According to a very reliable informant from Samsung, the Galaxy Watch 4 and The launch of Galaxy Watch Active 4 is scheduled for the coming months.
Ice Universe claims that Samsung is preparing to launch not one, but two new smartwatches this year. This includes a sequel to last year’s Galaxy Watch 3, well ahead of schedule, as well as a delayed successor to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 launched in 2019. It’s a little surprising that Samsung is launching two watches this year, as the latest launches come one at a time. However, it makes sense in the long run, as the brand has never aligned itself as a result of the launch cycle.
The real push here, however, is that Samsung is planning to launch this Galaxy Watch 4 series sometime during the second quarter of 2021. This schedule starts in April, but extends to the end of June.
Samsung has yet to officially announce anything, but rumors have opened up the possibility that these smartwatches will abandon Tizen and instead switch to Android, possibly even Wear OS. Blood glucose monitoring is also in question.
